Village SignCome and explore!

There's lots to do and see in and around Monks Eleigh. Here you can find more information about our village and the surrounding area. Monks Eleigh is rich in history, which spans many hundreds of years. Visit the History pages to find out about the events that shaped the village you see today.

You can also find information and articles of interest about the church of St. Peter's, which stands at the top of the hill overlooking the village and Brett Valley. From the church tower it is possible to see the entire village, including our Millennium Green, which was converted from former allotments and has become a pleasant green space in the heart of the village.

Whilst in the village, why not visit the Monks Eleigh Community Shop. The shop is a voluntarily staffed not-for-profit organisation which provides a vital role in the daily lives of all who live in and visit Monks Eleigh. Inside the shop you will find our award winning Post Office, where you can do most of the things you would expect to find in larger branches.

When visiting, why not stay for a while and use the Where to stay pages to find that perfect place for a short stay or holiday. Come and see us here and explore our beautiful village of Monks Eleigh!
